Announcements
We are in the process of enriching our bulletin board and tutorial sections. So anyone interested in writing a tutorial, a review, or sharing interesting links, can just type them down and mail copies to Debarshi (debarshi.ray@gmail.com) and me (arjunsha@gmail.com), and we will take care of the rest. Make sure you include the text (plain text only), relevant screenshots and other stuff as seperate attachments.

Ports opened
Recently a number of ports have been opened on our campus proxy server, as a result of which a number of new services can be availed. The most noticeable development is that it is now possible to use Gaim (a third party IM client) to connect to Google Talk, Yahoo!, MSN, and other well-known chat services. One can also use SSH to remotely log onto servers located outside the campus' private network.
For further information you can mail Arjun (arjunsha@gmail.com) or me (debarshi.ray@gmail.com). You might also send your views, experiences regarding this issue to the above addresses. We would try to publish them on the GLUG NITH Website.
So just log on to our machines, and enjoy this newly acquired freedom.
